  5.     Hey jokesters!!  How's about sending us a few replies about how
  6. you think we're doing on this project!  We've been plugging this mag
  7. for 4 months now, and and received -NADA- in replies (Electronic echo or
  8. Land mail.)  We're just like a newborn, we need at least a LITTLE attention
  9. now and then to keep us flying high!

  19.     Well, the future is here!  You may have noticed that it took you a
  20. little longer to download this issue than usual.  It could be, THAT WE
  21. DOUBLED THE NUMBER OF PAGES!!!  That's right 45 - 50 pages of Humor each
  22. month.  We have also switched our packing method from .ZIP to .ARC, for
  23. more information see ATTENTION section below!

  25.     We still have high hopes for a possible book publication of the
  26. Digest.  Plans are in work with a publisher at the moment, no real info
  27. as of yet, you'll just have to wait until next month.

  31.     Well folks, we've been at it for just over 4 months now, and we
  32. can still not see an end to the jokes.  We think there must be ever-
  33. bubbling joke cauldron out there somewhere... something like the fountain
  34. of youth maybe.

  40.    SUBJECT: The BBS Humor Digest is changing its Packing Method.
  41.     REASON: Lack of DeZIPer for ATARI, APPLE, MAC, and DEC systems.
  42. START DATE: May 25th 1990
  43.  
  44.     Due to lack of 'UNIVERSAL' compatibility, we have decided to change
  45. our Packing method from .ZIP to .ARC.  This will mean a slight increase in
  46. download time, but will make the Digest available to a much wider
  47. audience.
  48.     Our third issue will mark the beginning of the new Packing method.
  49. This issue will be named 'Joke6-90.ARC' and will be released on the 25th
  50. of May.  We plan to continue releasing following issues on or before the
  51. 25th of the proceeding month.
  52.     At this point we have decided to rerelease the first two issues with
  53. the .ARC compression scheme, so that those who where unable to unpack it
  54. can now get in on what we hope will become "The Biggest Joke Book In The
  55. World!" These rereleases will also be made available on the 25th of May.
